In a May 3 Letter to the Editor of the Madison Eagle, resident Sandy Kolakowski declares that statements by Borough Councilpersons, Catalanello, Links, and Tsukamorto were not being honest with Madison residents in explaining their 'No' votes on the 2012 borough budget.  While describing potential issues with the budget, the coucnilpersons ignored the fact residents are clearly facing debt service for the $3.5 million spent of the Madison Recreation Complex they supported.

In a joint press release on the Madison Borough Council budget vote of 3-3 on April 23rd, Astri Baillie and Ben Wolkowitz, candidates for Madison Borough Council, state: “We support the Mayor’s action of breaking the tie vote on the budget at the Council meeting of April 23,rd but we found the no votes of Council members Tsukomoto, Links and Catalanello disturbing. Budget deliberations began about eight months ago. Shouldn’t they have found common ground by now?
